Our team won first place at the Hacking Health hackathon hosted by Shopify in Ottawa. The prize included flights, accommodations, and passes to pitch our product at the True North conference in Waterloo.
The goal was to develop a solution addressing healthcare challenges like social isolation, connected care, or diagnostic efficiency within a weekend.
We built a system combining a wearable IMU device, an Android app, and a cloud-based analysis pipeline for real-time kinematic analysis. We had a neural network built with TensorFlow doing gait-health prediction in real time.
